Sailing Courses
Sailing dinghies in good condition and appropriate to the course being taught.
Buoyancy aids in a variety of sizes for all course members.
We do not provide wetsuits or wet boots and attendees are encouraged to bring their own footwear and gloves. For courses taking place between the end of October and the start of April wet suits or dry suits are required and advice will be given prior to joining a course on what clothing you will be expected to bring with you.
Course duration
Each module will run for a minimum of 16 hours. This is usually over 2 to 2.5 days but may also be run over 5 half day sessions. Please see the Training Calendar for course availability and more details.
Maximum Student to Instructor Ratio’s
For teaching in double handed boats:
For single handed courses
The above ratio’s are the maximum we would operate with, however, the ratio is often much lower and where individuals need additional support we try to provide 1:1 coaching. In addition our instructor team provides safety boat cover.
Logbooks, Manuals and certificates are provided as follows:
RYA Start Sailing and Improving Skills (RYA Level 1 and 2)
RYA Better Sailing (L3) Seamanship Skills, Sailing with Spinnakers, Start Racing
Please note that Club Membership is required to join our training courses.
