Welcome to Shustoke Sailing Club
Situated in the heart of the Midlands and known for our friendly membership, we’re open every weekend throughout the year, with additional informal racing, social sailing and SUP’ing on bank holidays and week day evenings during the summer months.
Whether you’re an experienced dinghy racer, a social sailor, junior or adult wanting to learn how to sail, as an active racing club & RYA accredited training centre we have something to offer you.

Racing
Set on 92 acres of open reservoir, we’re proud to be one of the top racing clubs in the Midlands.
You’ll be guaranteed competitive racing both Saturday and Sunday throughout the year with Thursday evening racing from May through to the end of August.
Whatever your racing experience there’s something for you, race against national champions in our gold league or dip your toes into racing in our trainer supported novice race series.
Training
For anyone new to sailing, we’ll support you from an inexperienced novice, all the way to competent sailor.
Our learn to sail courses follow the RYA syllabus and are aimed at juniors from 8 upwards who’ll learn and develop their skills in our Pirates junior section. Our adult beginner course aims to take you from little or no sailing knowledge, to being able to helm a boat in medium winds.
Once you’ve become a competent sailor the learning doesn’t stop there, as we offer skills development training sessions throughout the year and offshore cruising and racing too.
Social Sailing & Events
We have great fun racing and we have lots of members that enjoy social sailing and the other regular events we have at the club too.
Our active social diary includes a Regatta weekend, Boxing day and Easter Monday fun days plus other events throughout the year when we enjoy our licensed bar, galley and BBQ facilities are available for members to use.
Other activities at Shustoke Sailing Club
We’re a progressive club and we look to support as many on the water activities as possible.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP’ing) is available thoughout the year, or join the organised Thursday Night Club throughout the warmer months.
For those who have or want to progress to sailing yachts, our offshore group has a programme of yacht racing & cruising events as well as various training and development courses.
For anyone wanting to stay on dry land, but experience the fun at Shustoke we have our model boat club and social membership for anyone who wants to enjoy our fabulous facilities.
