Club Open Days

Are you looking for a new challenge? or want to get back out on the water again? Our spring open day is upon us and we’re here to give people, like you, who might be interested in joining a sailing club the opportunity to come and have a look around and spend some time on the water.

About the Open Days

Open Days start at 11.00 am and run until 4:00pm and you will be welcome to come and see us during this times. There is no need to book in advance but if you want to contact us, that would be appreciated to help give us an idea of numbers.

If you are thinking that you’d like to have some time on the water, we offer taster sessions with one of our experienced sailors as helm. For the trial sail, it’s sensible to wear clothes that are appropriate for the weather at the time and we would suggest soft soled shoes/trainers that don’t matter getting wet and some wind proof/shower proof jacket and trousers, if possible. We will provide buoyancy aids for you. It would be prudent to bring a towel and a change of clothes as it is likely that you will get wet to some degree. There is no charge for a demonstration sail on our open days.

Some of our members will be on hand all afternoon to show show you around our Club and tell you all about what it has to offer, and see what is going on on a typical Club sailing day.

A limited cafe will be available serving hot/cold drinks and the bar will have a range of draught ales on too, payment by credit/debit card is preferred.
