Welcome to Shustoke Sailing Club

We are a family friendly club and we welcome all visitors. If you’d like to come and have a look around we are open 10am – 3pm weekends.

Based at a Severn Trent owned reservoir covering just over 100 acres, surrounded by trees that are set well back from the water giving mostly clear sailing winds, it provides the perfect safe teaching environment for all.

RYA Training:

Training Courses are run every year to the RYA start sailing schemes for Adults and Juniors, as well as improver courses for Start Racing and Spinnaker training

Powerboat (RYA PB 1&2) courses are available and Safety Boat training can be provided at reduced cost to facilitate club rescue duties

Post course training with continued use of club boats and instructor coaching

SUP introductory lessons and use of the lake at weekends for recreational paddling

Training boats and buoyancy aids are provided

You do not need to be a club member to take part in any of our courses.

Successful completion of the RYA L1 & L2 sailing course entitles you to a period of free membership.

Racing:

Pursuit and Handicap races on Saturdays and Sundays and, during the summer, a Thursday evening

We offer taster sessions after racing over the weekends, as well as additional training for those who have already completed their RYA Start Sailing Level 1 or Level 2 courses.

Courses costs are:

• RYA Dinghy Level 1 – £175.00
• RYA Dinghy Level 2 – £175.00
• RYA Powerboat Level 1 & 2 – £295 per person.
• RYA First Aid Training – POA
